ENGLISH AT P4 AND P5 IN C.E. JOAN XXIII

We are going to use this blog to show what we teach and how we organise the english lessons in P4 and P5.


Our school has three english teachers for kindergarden and primary. We have two lines for each level.
For our english classes we divided the two classes in three groups of 16/17 children.
For kindergarden we have prepared 4 lessons for each unit, unless Starter unit and Festivals that we have 1 or 2 lessons.

The three teachers work together. We prepare differents activities for each lesson and each teacher is doing some of them with one group. The activities teach in each group last 20 minutes, so when the 20 minutes past the teacher changes the group of children and repeat the activitiy.
We repeat the process two times to complete and hour.
To prepare this lessons, we have used the songs, stories and adapted activities from "Three in a tree A and B" Oxford, and "Patch 1 and 2" from Macmillan.
